Experience was horrible. Got to hotel at 2 (which. Is check in time) and had to wait til 5pm to get in room. Got in room and it was clean. But not cleaned good. Room. Smelled musty and towels smelled like cigarette smoke. A.C. worked but didn't cool room. Neighbors were drunk and loitering outside door fighting all night and making a raucous all night. Smoking outside by the room. Kids were nervous and i as a mom was done. We cut our trio from 3 days to 1 night and left as soon as sun came up. However, the staff is super friendly and management was great about handling stuff.
During check-out, the desk clerk was out helping the staff clean (?); I waited for 10 minutes then found a maid to ask if I could check out.
Amenities are very lacking, I assume that's why they are trying to remodel. You can tell they have done a lot of work.You would expect to already have enough towels and hot water. Couldn't even take a shower in the morning because there was no hot water. Was told to wait until everyone was through checking out then there would be plenty at 10. It's now 1 and still no hot water. Come to find out the both water heaters were broke. So I walked over and asked maintenance guy what the issue was and needless to say I had to fix one of them so we could have hot water. (More to this story) At night asked for extra towels because the ones we had were soaked. Was told they didn't have anymore so we went and bought some. Then the next morning walked into their laundry room and found seen plenty. We booked 3 rooms. I would not recommend this place if you wanting to relax and enjoy yourself. But if you need just need a place to sleep it's good for that. Breakfast was better than most. Pool was nice. A lot of road noise and they were trying to be accommodating. But you can tell this motel is lacking in some area but they are trying to remodel at this time. Maybe after the remodels are finished they can focus on the maintenance side of things.
The room key didn't work, so the desk clerk came and let us in the room. We were never given a key for the duration of the stay.
Working men filled the pool and several were using the grill around the pool and on their tailgates. Lots of alcohol...
I was really happy with the room and its cleanliness. The AC worked flawlessly especially after a hot day fishing and at the beach. The breakfast helped start our day off right and was very tasty. Most hotels who promise you a breakfast usually offer you a cold cereal but not Best Western its was omelets bacon and juice. The staff were extremely polite and helpful and made us feel welcomed. I recommend Best Western to anybody looking for a nice place to stay.
Clean sheets and clean towels. Food crumbs found on the floor. A roach in the bathroom. No jelly for the continental breakfast. Very small pool, open 24 hours. Decent, but I probably won't stay again.
